About Insights & Reports

Under its Statement of Purpose the Council is committed to generate and disseminate research-based evidence to inform and influence policy and practice. To implement the statement the Council has reviewed its publications' policy and decided to disseminate more widely the knowledge gained from its research and action projects. This will be done principally by:

  • publishing a series of lay summaries entitled Alcohol Insights;
  • making reports more accessible to researchers, educators and policy makers.

It is a requirement of any grant that the Grant Holder will provide a Final Report in a standard form and draft an Alcohol Insight.

Alcohol Insights

A core part of the new AERC Alcohol Library.

Alcohol Insights are short easily digestible documents, which present reports on projects funded by the Alcohol Education and Research Council.

These documents are all in PDF Document file format, if you're not sure how to use these, please see the orange box in the side bar for further details.

A majority of these documents are shorter versions of an AERC Final Report so if you're looking for more detail visit the FInal Report section. If one of these Insights directly relates to a specific Final Report then a link will appear in the farthest right hand column. Click the link to be taken to the corresponding report.
